Baby Lucas Video
That's Liam and Lucas' other Grampa holding Lucas. I so wish they lived closer!
Lucas looks so much like my own birth babies. I still get baby fever, but then I quickly slap myself upside the head. 21 babies is enough for this mom.

Church Bulletin Funnies
Two posts in one day? From Me?
I can remember when we attended the second presby church on the day of the Steelers going to the Super Bowl in the 80s. The pastor got up for his sermon and said," I know everyone's eager to get home to watch the Super Bowl, so I"ll make my sermon short. And he did. Then we sang the hymn "Take Time To Be Holy." I thought it was funny.
But these quotes from church bulletins are funnier:
The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals.
The sermon this morning: "Jesus Walks on the Water. The sermon tonight: "Searching for Jesus."
Our youth basketball team is back in action Wednesday at 8 PM in the recreation hall. Come out and watch us kill Christ the King.
Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.
The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been canceled due to a conflict.
Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our community. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say "Hell" to someone who doesn't care much about you
Don't let worry kill you off - let the Church help.
Miss Charlene Mason sang "I will not pass this way again," giving obvious pleasure to the congregation
For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.
Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.
The Rector will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing: "Break Forth Into Joy."
Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.
At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What Is Hell?" Come early and listen to our choir practice.
Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.
Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles and other items to be recycled. Proceeds will be used to cripple children.
Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered.\
The church will host an evening of fine dining, super entertainment and gracious hostility.
Potluck supper Sunday at 5:00 PM - prayer and medication to follow.\
The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday after noon.
This evening at 7 PM there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the Church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.
Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM. All ladies are invited to lunch in the Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done.
The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday.
Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 PM. Please use the back door.
The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the Church basement Friday at 7 PM. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.
Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use the large double door at the side entrance.
The Associate Minister unveiled the church's new tithing campaign slogan last Sunday : "I Upped My Pledge - Up Yours".

Healing
Sorry I've been away so long. Way to much business to take care of.
Today I wanted to tell you how I was healed of a 42 year old fear. It was the fear of my husband dying before me and leaving me alone.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to have had this fear. But because of my understanding of the Law of Attraction, I knew that whatever your thoughts are, that you are automatically drawing that thought 's realization to yourself.
The universe/God gives you what your mind is thinking about, whether it be something good or bad. So I knew that my fear of DH's dying was eventually going to make it happen. I was drawing it to me.
I came across and purchased a book from one of the master teachers of The Secret, Joe Vitale. It's called The Key: The Missing Secret for Attracting Anything You Want
After reading this book and applying it's principles, I was able to totally rid myself of that fear. Probably would have taken year of psychoanalysis to do it. But in just about 10 minutes I cleared that fear out of my mind, heart and life.
Here is a short summary about The Key:
1. Before you can go asking the universe/God for anything, you have to be grateful for things and people in your life now. Too often we live in a future that never materializes. We constantly try to do things that will benefit us in the future. Now that's good. But...
...you have to first be thankful for the life you have now. You have to say and feel, "I am content with my life right now, but I"d like more." That way you are coming from a positive viewpoint and not one of lack. I've always been a big offender in this. Always working toward things that I want to happen in the future. Never satisfied with what I have.
But upon looking at it, I DO have a wonderful life. I AM content in that life. And I need to be more fully in the present appreciating all that God has given me. That was breakthrough number one.
You can't expect the things that you ask the universe/God for to come about if you are coming from a negative NOW.
2. It you have a negative emotion connected to anything that you say you want, you are blocking it from appearing in your life. If you say, "I want a new house, " and you have a negative feeling about that-say "I don't deserve a house better than the one I grew up in," then you are blocking it.
The Key gives several ways of clearing those thoughts and emotions from your life. I was skeptical, but I tried a couple of them. One worked in less than 5 minutes. I no longer fear my husband dying before me. Phew!
If you have a request to make of the universe like "I want Johnny to make straight "A's" this term," but you have a fear/belief/emotion that Johnny just isn't motivated enough to do that, you need to clear that fear/thought/emotion before the universe will grant your request.
So moral for the day, Live in the Present and Appreciate What You Have, And Clear Your Mind of Limiting Fears and Thoughts. Then the things you want will come to you faster.

SNAKES !
We have lots of snakes in our big back yard. Until now there were only two kinds.
1. the big black snakes
2. the little black snakes.
I have no idea what their real names are, and I really don't care as I'm 100% sure they are non poisonous. Jack the dog is scared of them, but I no longer am. They don't want to be anywhere near humans and run away as fast as they can.
The other day my husband had Jack out in the eastern part of the backyard that I don't normally visit. He saw a CORAL SNAKE-see pic. Now these guys are very poisonous!
But aren't they beautiful? Shiny, colorful and just charming looking.
It occurred to me that the coral snake is a lot like a RAD kid. So beautiful you want to pick it up and hold it. You want to seek it out. (well you would if it wasn't poisonous and you liked snakes.)
RAD kids are lovely and charming but boy can they turn on you with their poison. And in some ways their bite is much more dangerous. They also don't want to have anything to do with loving parents and do their darndest to get away from them or bite them and destroy them.
Such is my mind....

Peace Unfolding Like A Rose
The longer I use and experience the "Law of Attraction" in my life, the more amazed I am. I am starting to see how it works, and it truly does work!
This morning I read a quote in an email from a list I am on from the Law of Attraction people. Is said:
"No matter what it is, if you really want it, and if you get out of the way of it, it will happen. It must be. It is Law. It can be no other way. It's the way this Universe is established. If you want it and you relax, it will happen."
And I'm seeing this come true lately. I have been very good about asking the universe/God for things that I need or want. I'm good about setting that thought free. I'm good about waiting for it to happen/knowing that it WILL happen.
But I've been unable, once I've sent the wish/thought out into the universe to be granted, to get out of the way and let the universe/God do the work for me.
I would stress about how it was going to happen, try to do things to make it happen more quickly, and generally stick my hand in it when the universe/God didn't need my help. If you have a desire and the universe has been asked to handle it for you, it will come to you EASILY. You will magically be shown a way that it can happen effortlessly. Helpers will show up that you didn't know existed. People's minds will suddenly be changed from the stubborn position they have been holding....
...IF YOU CAN ONLY TRUST THAT THE UNIVERSE/GOD WILL COME THROUGH WITHOUT YOUR HAVING TO WORK HARD. GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET THE UNIVERSE/GOD DO IT'S THING.
A couple things lately have shown this to be true. One was a bad situation at the high school where a daughter was being verbally mistreated. I got all angry and blew up at the school. And the more angry I got, the worse the situation got. The nastier the staff got. I was angry and I got anger back from the school. Like Attracts Like. Anger attracts more anger.
A few days ago my husband and I decided that the only safe way to resolve the problem was to simply let it drop. To bring peace in our minds about it. What a relief.
But I had forgotten that a peaceful mind attracts more peace.
What I didn't expect was a complete resolution of the problem. It came out of the blue this morning. Once I had gotten out of the way and allowed the universe/God to take care of the problem (It took the universe only 5 days) I got a call from the assistant principal and the ESE coordinator, who initiated a conference call with me, and the whole situation was easily and quickly TURNED COMPLETELY AROUND IN OUR FAVOR.
How glorious to be able to watch the Law of Attraction working in my life. It's like watching peace unfold beneath your eyes like a beautiful rose.
